LAS VEGAS – Vegas Seven, an innovative and unique weekly newspaper covering all things Las Vegas from dining and entertainment to politics and profiles makes its official debut today, Thursday, Feb. 4. Conceived by Las Vegas-based WENDOH Media Companies, and published in partnership with The Observer Media Group, Vegas Seven merges lifestyle with hard news into one publication that is unlike any other print medium.
"We decided to get involved with this project because of the enormous amount of confidence we have in our partners at WENDOH, Ryan Doherty and Justin Weniger, and the great synergy between our businesses," said Jared Kushner, owner and publisher of The Observer Media Group. "We think Vegas Seven will be a tremendous business opportunity."
Each issue of Vegas Seven will feature content on a vast array of subjects such as arts and entertainment, local, national and international news, dining, community affairs, sports, gaming, fashion and style, environmental causes and initiatives, music, architecture and more. "Vegas Seven was in development for years to perfect an efficient, visually engaging weekly newspaper that provides all of the news and information dynamic, socially active people are looking for," said Ryan Doherty, co-founder and partner of Vegas Seven. "Whether readers are looking for a quick reference or fascinating, in-depth profiles, Vegas Seven will become the trusted news source for Las Vegas residents and visitors alike."
Merging the print publication with strong online, social media and mobile technology features, Vegas Seven encompasses all aspects of traditional and new media. A digital edition of each issue will be available online at www.WeeklySeven.com, giving readers the option to flip pages with the click of a mouse, print individual pages with ease, search the current or all past issues by keywords, link pages to numerous social media sites, browse through an advertising directory and more. In addition, Vegas Seven will expand WENDOH Media’s presence in the publishing and media industries and allow us to widen our reach locally and nationally."
Vegas Seven seeks to capture and engage readers with highly visual pages featuring captivating art and design elements to go along with equally impressive, informative and entertaining writing. Vegas Seven will blanket the city with 62,000 copies being distributed every Thursday at a number of locations around the Las Vegas area and surrounding suburbs.
WENDOH Media was founded by Ryan Doherty and Justin Weniger, who began their careers in the nightlife industry and have gone on to expand their enterprise with a wide range of companies. The duo launched their first venture, Las Vegas Printing Press, in 2003, and have since developed a portfolio of businesses under the WENDOH Media umbrella. In July of 2005, Doherty and Weniger saw the opportunity to partner with up-and-coming 944 Magazine and launch the publication in the company's then third market, Las Vegas. WENDOH Media, along with Marc Lotenberg, founder and CEO of 944 Media, have cultivated 944 Magazine's Las Vegas edition into a must-read lifestyle magazine and propelled the publication to expand in several additional cities across the country. On Feb. 4, WENDOH Media will launch Vegas Seven, an innovative and unique weekly newspaper covering a vast array of topics from dining and entertainment to politics and profiles. Currently, WENDOH Media is comprised of the widely popular nightlife website and events company SpyOnVegas.com, eco-friendly printing facility Environmental Ink, VIP nightlife concierge Vegas Passport, Las Vegas nightlife and entertainment blog DailyFiasco.com, 944 Magazine, Vegas Seven and an exclusive in-theatre performance guide for Cirque du Soleil.
