Conceived by Las Vegas-based WENDOH Media Companies, Vegas Seven will merge lifestyle with hard news into one publication that is unlike any other print medium.
"We are thrilled to bring Phil Hagen on as the editorial director of Vegas Seven," said Ryan Doherty, co-founder and partner of Vegas Seven. With its first issue launching on Thursday, Feb. 4, Vegas Seven is supported by a stacked roster of remarkable and influential writers, including political columnist Dave Berns, gaming industry columnist David Schwartz, restaurant and dining writer Max Jacobson and Associate Editor Melissa Arseniuk. Art Director Lauren Stewart, formerly of the award-winning Las Vegas Home & Design magazine, will capture and engage readers with highly visual pages featuring captivating art and design elements. WENDOH Media was founded by Ryan Doherty and Justin Weniger, who began their careers in the nightlife industry and have gone on to expand their enterprise with a wide range of companies. The duo launched their first venture, Las Vegas Printing Press, in 2003, and have since developed a portfolio of businesses under the WENDOH Media umbrella. In July of 2005, Doherty and Weniger saw the opportunity to partner with up-and-coming 944 Magazine and launch the publication in the company's then third market, Las Vegas. WENDOH Media, along with Marc Lotenberg, founder and CEO of 944 Media, have cultivated 944 Magazine's Las Vegas edition into a must-read lifestyle magazine and propelled the publication to expand in several additional cities across the country. On Feb. 4, WENDOH Media will launch Vegas Seven, an innovative and unique weekly newspaper covering a vast array of topics from dining and entertainment to politics and profiles. Currently, WENDOH Media is comprised of the widely popular nightlife website and events company SpyOnVegas.com, eco-friendly printing facility Environmental Ink, VIP nightlife concierge Vegas Passport, Las Vegas nightlife and entertainment blog DailyFiasco.com, 944 Magazine, Vegas Seven and an exclusive in-theatre performance guide for Cirque du Soleil.
